About Me

LIBRARY |

The library of the Biscozzi | Rimbaud ETS Foundation opens its doors in March 2021, with the inauguration of the adjoining Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, on the basis of the personal assets of the founders, Luigi Biscozzi and Dominique Rimbaud. It consists of a specialized library in the field of the Art of the XX and XXI centuries.

It is structured on a single level on the ground floor of the building, on an area of about 50 square meters, to which is added the nearby educational laboratory, where there is appropriate furniture for workshops, reading aloud meetings - and a section dedicated to children and young people.

The space consists of a reading room equipped with wall shelving containing the BIS-RIM Section (single section) and large tables. The large glass window looks out over the entrance courtyard and the square in front, while the reception desk is located in the adjoining room.

The spaces described fulfil the development of services provided by the library and the heritage management:

• Membership;
• Consultation of books;
• Study with one’s own texts or with consultation of the library’s holdings;
• Management and increase in the library’s heritage;
• Organization and realization of readings aloud meetings;
• Organization and implementation of workshops for young users;
• Book presentations, meetings with authors and lectures on the Art of XX and XXI centuries.

At the moment, December 2024, the library owns more than 2,000 volumes. All the assets are inventoried, labelled and catalogued according to the cataloguing regulations established by the ICCU, both for the descriptive standard and for the semantic cataloguing.
